Carmen Delia was born and raised in New York City. Her earliest memories were of cousins, aunts and uncles all sitting around in her parent’s living room and enjoying the Honeymooners on the only TV in their apartment building! A Puerto Rican’s default is a warm smile and Carmen’s smile is the one thing you never forget about her!
When Carmen was in High School, she started to audition for roles in school plays and right away the “bug” hit right and center. She was going to be an actress! Her parents did not encourage it but knew that this young woman was going to do whatever she could to make it happen. She started modeling and signed with a well-known agency and did quite well. She took acting classes and did some off-Broadway work but primarily it was print and soap operas. She juggled a lot of jobs and decided to try a more mainstream life. She took a job at a prominent investment bank working on the trading floor! That lasted 21 years!
After retiring from the Wall Street job, she still had “that” dream to pursue. So, Carmen decided to leave New York and come out to Los Angeles. That was 10 years ago. She found a photographer who took great headshots and in two days, got an agent. Like Pegasus, living the life she was born to live, she is now working on films, TV shows and commercials. Oh, but now she has a new version of her dream to pursue: Hearing a casting agent exclaim to her after an audition: “Where Have You Been?”
